FMCSA motor carrier directory

Public registration records for U.S. motor carriers, reproduced from FMCSA datasets with their dates, decoded with FMCSA’s own data dictionary, and explained in plain language. Search by company name, USDOT number or MC docket number.

What this directory covers

11,052 active interstate motor carriers registered in Iowa are currently loaded into this directory, from FMCSA’s Company Census File as of 2026-09-07. It is not a list of every trucking business: intrastate-only carriers, carriers with an inactive registration, and registrants that hold no motor-carrier classification are outside its coverage. Coverage is added state by state, and each state is loaded in batches, so a count shown here can be a subset of the carriers FMCSA has registered in that state until that state’s load is complete; a share computed from a partial load describes the rows loaded, not the state. Each state page says what it contains.

Registration with FMCSA is a legal requirement, not an endorsement. This directory repeats what FMCSA publishes and says when it was published.

About this data

Carrier records on this site are reproduced from public datasets published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Transportation: the Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS) Company Census File, the Motus operating-authority registers, the legacy Licensing & Insurance system, the New Entrant out-of-service order dataset and the QCMobile API. Each section names its source and the date the source published or returned the record.

NeuroHaul is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of FMCSA or the U.S. Department of Transportation. Registration with FMCSA is a legal requirement for operating a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce; a listing here is a copy of a public record, not a recommendation, ranking or assessment of any carrier.

Records change. The authoritative record for any carrier is the one FMCSA serves today on its SAFER system, which every profile links to.
